Kani Maldives

Wonderful relaxing luxurious 3 days . Food, beautiful smiling faces and great aqua aerobics too. Our bungalow was a good 10 minute walk to the hub in tbe heat. A buggy service would have been appreciated.

We had a wonderful stay at Club Med Kani, and while the Maldives itself is obviously beautiful, what really made our holiday so memorable was the incredible team.

There were so many people who went out of their way to make us feel welcome, looked after and genuinely happy every day. By the end of our stay, many of them felt more like friends than staff.

A huge thank you to Mery, Kawser and Lia at the bar, who always greeted us with a smile and made every visit enjoyable.

The restaurant team were fantastic. Hamsa, Sumon, Shifuzaan, Mahmood and Ameel deserve a special mention for their wonderful service, friendliness and attention throughout our stay. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble.

Rajeesh, the shawarma chef, was brilliant — definitely one of our regular food stops! Sohag at Kani Kravings was another standout, as was Surest, the Dessert Guy, who certainly made it difficult to say no to dessert and coconut macaroons.

Also at the Beach Bar, Mithun and Ripon were absolutely wonderful. They helped create exactly the relaxed, friendly atmosphere you hope for on a Maldives holiday.

A special mention also to Manu from Food & Beverage and John, the Head Chef. The quality and variety of the food throughout our stay was excellent, and it was obvious how much work goes on behind the scenes to maintain that standard every day.

Thank you also to Salu, the photographer, for helping us capture some beautiful memories, and to Bestie from W&S, who was another person who made our stay that little bit more special.

What impressed us most was the consistency. These weren't isolated moments of good service — day after day we were greeted by people who remembered us, chatted with us, laughed with us and genuinely seemed to care that we were having a great holiday.

Club Med Kani has the location, the beaches and the beautiful water, but the staff are its greatest asset. It is the people we will remember most.

To Kawser, Hamsa, Sumon, Lia, Shifuzaan, Mahmood, Ameel, Rajeesh, Mery, Sohag, Mithun, Surest, Manu, John, Ripon, Salu and Bestie — thank you for making our holiday so special. You are an exceptional team and a credit to Club Med Kani.

We would return in a heartbeat. ❤️

It was an unforgettable trip our family had at Kani. The wonderful GO team led by Julien were energetic and super friendly and a joy to be around. Everyone was all smiles wherever we went and we were certainly very well taken care of. From the activities such as snorkelling, sailing, yoga to a work out at the beautiful beachfront gym, it was extremely wonderful.

Special shout out to Mia who received us when we came onto Kani for the first time, John’s F&B team was a delight to be around whenever we dined, Roy made sure to interact with us whenever we visited his section of the buffet, a delight as always.

Chicken, Angel, Ruby from the mini clubmed team really made it an unforgettable holiday for my 7 year old child.

There was also Wayne from the bar, he made sure to pop by nightly when we had our dinner. Yo Yo from Taiwan was super friendly too.

To top it all off, Julien invited my child onto the stage several times for the nightly dance parties and was absolutely wonderful. Thank you so much for making our holiday a super one! We will be back for more.

An absolutely wonderful experience at Club Med Kani, in what is probably one of the most beautiful settings I have ever experienced at a Club Med.

From the moment you arrive at the airport, the 30-minute boat transfer already feels like part of the adventure. And then you arrive at the Club’s jetty, surrounded by this incredible scenery, and you immediately feel transported into the Maldives.

I originally came to Kani with a very simple plan: diving! But the atmosphere of the Club made me want to enjoy much more of the village life, and most importantly, it gave me the opportunity to meet some truly wonderful people.

I would especially like to mention first GG, always smiling, energetic and positive, with genuine kindness and a real concern for making people feel comfortable and welcome. 🙏🏻

Beverly is what I would call a true “quiet force”: calm, composed and authentic, with a genuine interest in getting to know people. And her yoga classes are really good — incredibly professional, thoughtful and delivered with real care.

A big thank you as well to Ghita, who gave me such a warm welcome and took the time to chat with me and show me around the Club. At the bar, Babou and Mery apologies if I got the spelling wrong 😊 were always smiling, kind and helpful.

And of course, Julien, the Village Chief, who clearly knows how to lead and bring his team together. You can really feel it in the atmosphere of the Club: warm, elegant and friendly, without ever becoming what I would call the stereotypical “Club Med” atmosphere.

A little mention as well to Sidheeg, always smiling in the kitchen, and to the young guy wearing a cap whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch!
Sorry I can’t mentioned all GO I talked to but globally very nice.

Finally, I cannot talk about my stay without mentioning the entire Euro Divers team: Selim, Quentin, Minnie, Thomas and everyone else. A truly fantastic team. And a very special thank you to Vanessa, my diving instructor, who guided me through my Open Water, Advanced and Nitrox certifications with an incredible level of professionalism, efficiency and patience. She managed to be both demanding and reassuring, while always being understanding — exactly what I needed.

As for the setting itself, it is simply breathtaking. I stayed in one of the quieter rooms on the surf side, which was perfect for me. The pool is spotless and overlooks the beach, and with the water at around 29°C, it is hard to ask for more!

One practical tip: there are quite a few small pieces of dead coral on the beach, so water shoes are definitely recommended. The paths around the resort are intentionally made of sand and earth rather than paved, which I actually really liked as it preserves the natural feel of the island — just make sure you have suitable footwear when it rains 😂.

But beyond the incredible scenery, what I will remember most about Kani is the atmosphere and the people.

I came to the Maldives mainly to dive. I am leaving with incredible memories from underwater, but also with some truly wonderful encounters and a strong desire to come back.

Come back home very very difficult.
