Cancún Mexico

This was our third time at Club Med Cancun. We have always loved it - but this time we decided to stay in the Jade Club. What an experience! I really don't think I can go on vacation anywhere else anymore. Jade Club was beautiful, the pool was fantastic, there were always beach chairs with umbrellas (including the cabanas - although sometimes we did not get one because we always went for early morning pickleball and gym). But what really made our stay special was the Jade Pool Bar Staff: Ademir, Jaime, Jesus, Marco, Erasmo, and Elisio were always considerate, friendly, and incredibly attentive. By the end of our first day, they made me and my family feel like old friends. They knew our names, our favourite drinks, and where we liked to sit at the end of the day after getting back from the pickleball courts - with water and cervezas at the ready! They found out about my son's birthday and arranged for the pool band to play Feliz Cumpleaño and suprised us with an entire watermelon that had been carved especially for him! I loved Club Med Cancun - but it was the pool bar staff that has me wanting to come back (in fact, as noted above, I don't think I can go anywhere else now!!). A huge thank you to Ademir, Jaime, Jesus, Marco, Erasmo, and Elisio. Club Med Cancun - you were great. I will be back and would recommend Jade Club to anyone (mainly because of Jade and the Pool Bar team!)!!

From our very first day we had a pleasure of attending a cooking lesson with chef Irad, who went on to be our trusted personal chef. His attention to detail and enthusiasm in teaching us how to perfect guacamole made the session so much more engaging. On a day-to-day he prepared for our family and friends vegan pancakes that were beyond expectation. Fluffy flavourful and with impeccable presentation. The final day they were made with cocoa and they were even more outstanding. Chef Irad would deliver them with care and check on us to ensure they were satisfactory. He is a true gem!

All the GOs at Cancun are super kind & friendly. From the circus team who took time to make our daughter feel safe while participating on the bungee, the archery rep who enthusiastically encouraged her. The snorkel team who aided and welcomed my husband and I as we set out to check the coral, the Pickleball team who gave us a terrific beginner lesson and proved helpful in answering all our questions to the sailing and water sport team who went above and beyond in aiding us.

We had a delightful stay and would definitely recommend the resort.

Loved the experience of making the proper Mexican guacamole with a chef! Wanted to do in Mexico City, but couldn’t, happy to have an opportunity here in Club. De quedó muy Rico.

This was my 10th Club Med experience (and 3rd at this particular Club Med). Club Med is not just a hotel, it really is a unique experience. While not luxurious, it offers so much in terms of activities and socializing that it feels more like a camp for families than it does a traditional vacation.

The hotel is located about 10-15 minutes away from the airport but its far enough that you won't hear plane noise. The hotel itself is approximately a mile long (I ran it in the morning). There are shuttles that take you to and from different areas. We stayed at Aquamarina, which is perfect for families. When we stayed here 12 years ago, they were brand new rooms, but now, they are showing some wear. Next time, we will likely book the bigger room that has 2.5 full bathrooms (thank you to Sandra in reception for showing it to us at checkout).

Since we last stayed, they opened a family pool by Aquamarina, which is much nicer than the main pool. Most recently, they also built a waterpark, which we enjoyed. Although the beach areas were unusable due to a seeweed influx in August (not Club Med's fault), we still had a good time. They replaced the tennis courts with pickleball courts, which we enjoyed.

The food was good, with themed nights every night. I was sad that I didn't see the traditional white chocolate bread that Club Med is known for. We ate one night at the steakhouse, which was very good. The Taco restaurant is beautiful but not air conditioned.

Our favorite part of the stay was the white night and the foam party. They did a great job creating a party like atmosphere with nonstop entertainment. My kids had a great time. My daughter enjoyed the teen club and my son went a few times to the mini club. I thought they could have added more info about the mini club to the app (such as times of activities).

All and all a great vacation, and we look forward to coming back soon!
