Kani Maldives

12 wonderful days in Kani! It was our second time here and I know that we’ll come back.
Kani is not ordinary Maldives because you will never found such a great GQ team.
Thanks a lot to snorkeling team! We saw a lot of rays, mantas, sharks, turtles and colorful fishes.
Morning yoga and evening stretching with Christine were great! She is so kind and professional.
Also the restaurant manager Manu, all waiters, restaurant team are so cool, friendly, they created a wonderful atmosphere for us to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was excellent and we want to thank all the restaurant team.
Thanks to incredible trapeze team. Everyone very welcoming!

This year's annual family vacation abroad led us to Kani Maldives. We are incredibly grateful to the resort team for their warm hospitality, which made six days enjoyable for all four members of our family, spanning different age groups. Upon disembarking, the elegant Aldynai handled our check-in, while Candice and Anaïs kindly assisted us with breakfast arrangements for our room.

Mithun at the Manta Bar and Rippon at the main bar always remembered our preferences and even recommended the sunset cruise—my mother-in-law was thrilled to see dolphins! Badal and Zoro also remembered us, greeting us enthusiastically every time and checking in on our daily activity plans.

During our stay, we joined the sea fishing and jet skiing activities recommended by Akko. Enjoying the fish we caught ourselves gave us a real understanding of why wild deep-sea fish are so highly priced on the market. Unlike last year’s trip to Bintan Island, this vacation coincidentally fell during my mother-in-law’s birthday.

Taking Aldynai’s suggestion, we reserved a lobster buffet dinner—a very private setting. Ashish and his team arranged everything perfectly for the birthday celebration, making our last evening incredibly warm and memorable!

Finally, a big thank you to Zi and Budi for chatting with us about everything under the sun every day—their accompany made our vacation far from lonely!

Ah! It was until the last day that I realized the CDV was the same new chief we had previously encountered during the transition at Kabira!

I wonder if we’ll run into him again when we visit one of the villages in the future! Thank you Ragab and team, this vacation means a lot to us and you guys made it incredible!

Amazing holidays. And specific tribute to Christine. Her yoga classes were a piece of art of relaxation, well being and joy. She is so professional, kind and generous. And a big thank you to Patrick and Thomas who organized a magic afternoon on a catamaran, the best time in family in the whole trip. Dolphins,
manta ray and the most beautiful snorkeling ever with Mouna on boat. Perfection. Can’t wait to be back !

If you think you’re ‘not the type’ for all-inclusive resorts, think again. Kani might just change your mind.

I don’t normally do beach holidays or all-inclusive, and I’d never been to a Club Med before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. But this turned out to be one of the best holidays I’ve had.

The setting is hard to beat: Kani really is paradise, with turquoise sea and white sand. The accommodation isn’t the height of chic, but it works perfectly with the setting—certainly not the tents-on-a-beach of Club Med’s early days. Comfortable, practical, and exactly what you need here.

The atmosphere is what really makes it. It feels like staying with family or friends—only better, because instead of arguing over who gets the last olive or the middle seat on the plane, everyone’s focused on making sure you have a great time. I liked that the staff eat the same food, join in the activities, and socialise. It avoids that “them and us” feel you sometimes get at resorts and makes it feel much more genuine.

Food was excellent—fresh, plentiful, and genuinely high quality. Highlights for me were the tuna ceviche and the curries. The White Parties are like a celebrity wedding, and yes, there are daily crêpes at the bar.

There’s loads to do. Sailing and snorkelling were highlights (tip: bring your own snorkel gear, the shop has them but they’re pricey). Yoga with Christina was great. Nightlife is fun but never forced. The island may be small but there’s plenty of space to find some peace and quiet if you want it.

My daughter (13) and I did our Open Water PADI course through Euro Divers while we were here—very professional, and I’ll leave a separate review for them, but if you’ve ever wanted to learn to dive, this is the place.

We were lucky with the weather: despite it being rainy season, we had 12 good days out of 14. Not too humid at night either.

A few staff who really made the trip special:
• Rageb, the GM, who was always present and quick to credit his team.
• Anaïs and Yousri, great managers.
• Taz and Enes in the restaurant, who went above and beyond.
• Roman and Liam on the beach.
• Demi and Sammy, also fantastic.

All in all, Club Med Kani manages to combine a stunning location, great food, and a genuinely friendly, inclusive atmosphere. I’d go back without hesitation.
