La Palmyre Zoo
Discover this park, with over 1,600 animals, renowned for its respect of the animals' quality of life. It also aims to teach the visitor about conservation of the world's threatened species.

Mortagne and Beaulon castle (1/2 day)
Guided tour of the marshlands of Mortagne sur Gironde to discover the estuary's migratory birds, followed by a visit to the Beaulon domain with its 15th century castle, exceptional gardens and remarkable blue fountains. Taste the local Pineau des Charentes fortified wine.
Talmont and Meschers sur Gironde (1/2 day)
Departure from Club Med to visit one of the most beautiful villages of France, Talmont sur Gironde. Your guide will explain its history, fame and legends, through its paved streets and picturesque sites.
You'll then be taken underground to visit the troglodyte caves at Meschers sur Gironde.
The Cordouan lighthouse
After a 45-minute boat ride, passengers disembark on a sand bank. Visit of the lighthouse, which became a classified building in 1882 and is still in operation today.

The Gironde Estuary
A 2 and a half hour boat ride in the heart of Europe's biggest estuary.
You'll see the Cordua lighthouse, the Meschers cliffs with their troglodyte caves, and the Talmont peninsula.

The Hermione shipyard
This circuit takes you round the shipyard where the La Fayette frigate was built. You'll see all the shipbuilding professions at work.
