Discover this park, with its 1,600 animals, renowned for its respect of the animals' quality of life. It also aims to teach the visitor about conservation of the world's threatened species.

Mortagne and Beaulon castle (1/2 day)
Visit (with commentary) of the marshlands of Mortagne sur Gironde to discover the estuary's migratory birds, followed by a visit to the Beaulon domain with its 15th century castle, exceptional gardens and remarkable blue fountains. Taste the local Pineau des Charentes fortified wine.
The Cordouan lighthouse
Recommanded by the Excursions desk.
"The king of lighthouses, the lighthouse of kings" or "the Versailles of the seas" are all perfectly appropriate names for France's oldest lighthouse, which has guarded the Gironde estuary since 1611. You'll sail from Royan and disembark in shallow water.

The isle of Aix (1 day)
Mini-cruise from La Tremblade during which you'll pass by the famous Fort Boyard before landing on the Ile d'Aix. After a fish lunch, free afternoon to explore this enchanting site. An envigorating day to enjoy the sea air and coastal scenery at your own pace.

Visit the oyster parks (1/2 day)
Board a traditional boat at La Tremblade and visit the oyster parks or oyster port.
